Recent Days

Good God, what a week. And if you wondered what I was doing this week amongst all this revelry, it went a little something like this.

Tuesday an Wednesday, photos and video of an engine building competition at Hendrick Motorsports, and a Firebird Society event at the Bechtler. Thursday, photos of the Inreach Dreammaker luncheon, one other event, and Mt. Moriah and Slade Baird at the Evening Muse. Friday, photos of an exhibit opening at Melberg Gallery, John Doyle at the Charlotte Folk Society concert, and Guided by Voices at the Grey Eagle in Asheville. (Yes! The photographer has returned from GBV exile. More on this soon.) Saturday, six events, including the Charity League artisans sale, Warbirds Over Monroe Airshow in Monroe, where I stood in a plane that flew over Normandy the same day that my grandfather stepped on their beaches. Then to the AMG Awards in Monroe for photos with Dee Dee Sharp, Gene Chandler, Freda Payne and more. Then back to Charlotte for photos of one privatre event at Panther Stadium, then photos of the Ties & Tails Gala, and Foundation For Tomorrow gala. Sunday through tomorrow, two days of photographing the Southern Christmas Show, one UNCC event, and writing for the next issue of Tangents.

Stay strong, and stay true. You are always better when you are yourself, no matter how others may occasionally see you. See you amongst the changes, and see you on the road.
