The Cave In Chapel Hill, NC Is Closing On April 30th

Long ago, I didn't travel out of Charlotte too often. But one day in 1997, my friends in Mercury Dime convinced me to go see them play at the Cave, in Chapel Hill, NC. I had a fun time, and took some photos. I soon came back to Chapel Hill, Carrboro and Raleigh on a more frequent basis. Thank you, Cave, for all of the songs and memories. See you in the stars and photo negatives, and see you on the road.

Wednesday Photos

Wednesday, photographed Room To Bloom, then ran to shoot an event at the Mint Museum, then returned to Room To Bloom, then ran camera and took photos at two Carolina Business Review tapings. Then photographed three dinners for Charlotte Wine & Food, followed by photos of the British American Business Council gala. The next few days, much more like that. I need to listen to some Hollies now. See you in the stars, and see you on the road.

Photos And Travels From The Past Week

Last week, spent two days at Ohio University, giving Maura Barley a tour of the campus, and sitting in on talks by Dr. Stephen Crocker, and an NPR talk and performance with Bob Boilen, Valerie June and Julie Byrne. Saturday, photographed Jan Crane Barley and Morris Barley's 60th wedding anniversary dinner in Michigan, hanging out where the Purple Gang once hung out, and dressed in our 1930s best. If you're in Charlotte this week, you will see me somewhere. It's that kind of week. See you in all the familiar places, and see you on the road.
